BOOM! Update

Well yeah, I finally got round to updating this (life is hectic)
Still going with college, shooting when possible, even acquired some new gear over christmas (light stand, 33" umbrella/diffuser and manfrotto clamp)

Test shot with the new kit (shot late december)

Then came the snow, plenty of it too

Also been playing with my flash off camera, along with an incense stick to get some shots like this

And the most recent shots (so far the only shots uploaded this month too)

Well, I suppose that's the shots up to date.
Getting ready for show season to start, first one is of course Wheels Day at Rushmoor Arena on April 2nd, I should be around unless of course it's raining. Second show of the year will most likely be Mopars at Brooklands, which I currently can't remember the date for so if you know, drop it in a comment. Of course, late July we should be attending the Mopar EuroNationals at Santa Pod (July 30/31, August 1st for those who don't know) and there's likely to be a few other I attend.

My website will be getting updated, however at the moment I'm more likely to be keeping that vehicle related, possibly with some single vehicle features if I can find any to shoot.

I think that's about all that needs to be said, so keep your eyes open for site updates although I'll probably post up the best shots with a write up on here.

005 - Full kit list

Well, in my first post I said I would do a full kit list and well, here it is.
Sorry for the poor quality phone pic.

Sony A200 body
10.2mp entry level SLR from Sony, incredibly easy to use and has been my primary camera since august 2008. At around £300 I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get into the world of DSLR's.

Sony 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens
The standard kit lens bundled with the A100 - A350. This is great as a starter lens however wide open it can be a little soft.

Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro
At around £120 this is an excellent lens in terms of value for money, it provides sharp images throughout the zoom range and shows great DOF.

Cokin P121m, P121s, P153
These again are great value for money, along with the adapter ring and filter holder I paid £60. They can be used in many different situations, giving great effects.

Fujifilm S5700/S700
As my primary camera from late july 2007 to august 2008, this is a great solution for people shooting on a budget. An incredible zoom range and a huge range of accessories make this an excellent buy.

Not Pictured

Sony 50mm f/1.4
This is a great standard lens, providing a wide aperture perfect for low light situations, shooting wide open can produce some soft edges however stopping down to around 2.5-4 will give sharp images almost every time.

Lowepro slingshot 300AW
Larger than the 100 and 200, the slingshot 300 gives plenty of room for any kit, including pouches for memory cards and cleaning equipment.
